What the Bugherd connector can do

Client feedback on a live site tends to scatter across email and screenshots until it lands in Bugherd's task board. Once Bugherd is connected to type.com, a web or agency Space can ask Claude to comment on a task, invite a client as a guest reviewer, or attach a file to an open issue, keeping the whole conversation in one place instead of switching tools.

One connection, many Spaces

Connect Bugherd once, then decide which Spaces can use it in threads, skills, automations, and coding work.

FAQ

Questions people ask before connecting Bugherd

Can Claude update Bugherd tasks from type.com?

Yes. Once Bugherd is connected to a Space, you can ask the agent to comment on a task, invite a guest, or attach a file, and the change shows up for the whole team in the thread.

How does type.com authenticate with Bugherd?

Bugherd uses an API key. An admin adds it once when setting up the connection and chooses which Spaces can use it.

Can Bugherd status updates run on a schedule?

Yes. A recurring check, such as summarizing open tasks every Monday, can be set up as a type.com automation that posts to a channel.

Is this the same as an MCP server for Bugherd?

Not exactly. type.com uses connectors and connections to give selected Spaces access to approved app tools and data. Some connectors use hosted MCP, while others use OAuth, API keys, service accounts, or custom APIs.
